We’re Here to Help with Harvey

We would like to extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the good people of Houston who are victims of Hurricane Harvey. If you want to help but aren't sure how, we've got you covered. While many of us want to get on a plane to Houston and throw ourselves into the trenches, it isn't exactly an option. Not only are there no flights, it isn't the safest option either.

The best any of us can do right now is donate. We can donate our prayers, our money, our old clothing, diapers, baby wipes, personal hygiene products, non-perishable food items, etc. If you are interested in looking into any of the above, you can find a charity of your choice here.

In the spirit of supporting LGBT causes, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the Montrose Center of Houston. "Established in 1978 as a safe and affirming place for lesbian and gay Houstonians to receive counseling, the Montrose Center has emerged as one of the nation’s leading full-service LGBTQ centers." The Montrose Center has established a fundraising page with the goal of raising money to provide counseling services to Hurricane Harvey victims. While the center focuses mainly on the LGBTQ community, they "serve all people in need regardless of their sexuality."

The Montrose Center has Like Us Publishing's full support. Volunteer, donate, share.
